Both diets, analysed by the National Institutes of Health, led to fat loss when calories were cut, but people lost more when they reduced fat intake.
Experts say the most effective diet is one people can stick to.

Why Carrots are good for us?
Have you ever thought why Bugs Bunny, that funny cartoon character, was always after carrots? One can keep guessing, but we have some really convincing reasons why you should always stock a bag full of fresh carrots in your refrigerator. The idea is to munch on these succulent, colorful roots every time you make a visit to your refrigerator. Here are 10 reasons why you should make it a practice:
1. Eye health
Carrots contains a substance called Beta Carotene, which gets converted to Vitamin A, in the liver. Vit A is an essential nutrient for maintaining good vision, especially in the dark. It is not of much help to a person with severely impaired vision, but its minerals and vitamins are definitely helpful in improving the overall health of the eyes.

A mothers healing has just begin after delivery and it can take up to 8 weeks before she is able to resume normal sexual activity whether she’s in the mood or not. Allowing the lochia to pass and allowing herself to return to normal hormonally are important for a new mother. It’s always a good idea to check in with your gynaecologist to make sure its safe to have sex shortly after delivery. One of the most important gigs to remember is that while a mother is breastfeeding, her chances of getting pregnant are very very low. The hormones that help with milk let down also act as a natural birth control. Eventually, when all is well, couples eventually do get back in the mood. Here are a few tips to help Mom and Dad get jiggy with it between diaper changes and feedings.
- Exercise: A study at the University of British Columbia reports exercise makes a difference in how satisfied a woman is with her sex life -- just 20 minutes of exercise fired up the women participants' sexual response.
- Kegels: Are an excellent exercise for both Women and Men to strengthen the pelvic muscles and actually feel more comfortable while performing. To perform Kegels, pretend you're stopping the urine flow. Squeeze those muscles for about 10 seconds, rest for 10 seconds and repeat. If 10 seconds is too long, try three or five to begin with -- practicing a set of 10 Kegels three times a day will have your pelvic floor muscles in shape in about six to 12 weeks. And since no one can tell you're doing them, you can pretty much do Kegels whenever you feel like it -- while you're in the car, checking e-mail or even standing in line at the store.
- Sleep: A well rested body and mind benefits sex and, as it turns out, having sex can help you sleep.84 percent of postpartum women experience a sleep problem at least a few nights a week and about 72 percent wake up feeling unrefreshed.
- Yoga: Yoga brings flexibility and promotes weight loss while helping strengthen your muscles. Just like with Kegels, the pelvic floor muscles are toned. Importantly yoga also helps to get you back in touch with yourself. It can ease anxiety and fatigue, dealing with these emotions is important for Mom and Dad to get back in the mood. The Upavista Konasana and Baddha Konasana are apparently famous for helping get couples back in shape for having some fun.
- Life isn’t Physical: It’s Mechanical and Lubricants help! Researchers at the Centre for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University's School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation conducted a study about women's sexual experiences when using water and silicone-based lubricants. Their findings? Genital pain was reported by fewer than 5 percent of the participants, and vaginal tearing by fewer than 1 percent.

Top 10 tricks to lose your weight
Top 10 ways to loose your weight and maintain the BMI
1. Set realistic goals - You didn't put on extra weight overnight so it is equally unrealistic to take it off quickly. Record a goal that you can reach in one month that is 4 to 8 pounds less than you weigh now. Set a goal you know you can achieve.
2. Spread your calories around - Divide your calorie goal by the number of meals (at least three) so that you eat about the same amount of calories at each meal. If meals are more than 500 calories, save some calories for snacks between meals. Make sure you eat at least 1200 calories each day or you will lose muscle.

Do you need circumcision?
I have been asked this question on many occasions by my patients. And each time I find it hard to give a straight forward answer. You can ask numerous doctors you want, read journals and articles; you will still find as many experts who vote for circumcision as you will find opposing it.
Why is circumcision a controversial topic and what makes it hard to take this simple decision?
1. Circumcision prevents infections: Many experts who vote for circumcision believe circumcision prevents infections. Smegma gets collected under the foreskin and has potentials to harbor infective organisms. It infects surrounding tissues and also plays a role in transmitting the same infection to your partner. One needs to keep cleaning under the foreskin regularly to reduce risks of infection. Perhaps due to ignorance or inability some experts vote for circumcision prophylactic. Others believe with time and education cleanliness is never going to be an issue.

Explore Acupuncture For Knee Pain.
Pain can affect any aspect of our life. It is especially disturbing when it affect s our job and social life. This was a reality for my client who enjoyed outdoor activities most of his life. He was an active hiker, bicker and swimmer but he could only swim without knee pain. It especially was difficult and painful to go down stairs. He then tried a conventional approach with allopathic medicine. Countless hours of Physical Therapy and steroid injections were only some of the treatment options that he tried. All this gave him some temporary relief, but the pain always came back with the same intensity. Any suggestion from his family and friends to explore some alternative treatment option was rejected by him without any further action. He was a "scientist" and how someone can even suggest acupuncture or anything else outside of western medicine he refused to accept. The pain was persistent and western medicine treatment options very limited for his pain relief.

10 Surprising Facts About Orgasms
Psst—you over there! Don’t be shy…orgasms are as much a part of women’s health as dental floss—but a lot more fun. For all the things you've been dying to find out as well as things you've never even thought of, expand your knowledge about the “big O" with this list of enlightening facts.
1. Orgasms can relieve pain.
Got a headache? Maybe you should have sex after all. “There is some evidence that orgasms can relieve all kinds of pain—including pain from arthritis, pain after surgery and even pain during childbirth,” notes Lisa Stern, RN, MSN, a nurse practitioner who works with Planned Parenthood in Los Angeles and blogs at Gynfizz.com. “The mechanism is largely due to the body’s release of a chemical called oxytocin during orgasm,” she says. “Oxytocin facilitates bonding, relaxation and other positive emotional states.” While the pain relief from orgasm is short-lived—usually only about eight to 10 minutes—she points to past research indicating that even thinking about sex can help alleviate pain.

2. Condom use doesn’t affect orgasm quality.
In case you’re wondering if a condom has anything to do with the quality of your orgasm, don’t. “Women are equally likely to experience orgasm with or without a condom, dispelling myths that condoms don't make for good sex,” says Debby Herbenick, PhD, a research scientist at Indiana University and author of Because It Feels Good. “In fact, condoms may help a couple spend more time having sex, as a man doesn't have to ‘pull out’ quickly if he's worried about ejaculating too soon,” she says. If your guy is resistant to wearing a condom because of lack of sensation, consider manual stimulation first, before intercourse, so he can have an equally enjoyable experience.
